Introduction
Many years ago, long before the age of streaming services and binge-watching, television shows were limited to one episode per week. In this era of streaming video, where every episode of a show is available on demand, we’re more than willing to wait an entire week for the next installment in our favorite series—especially if it’s on Netflix! But even then, some shows are just too good to pass up. So we’ve rounded up 10 of our favorite web series (with at least 5 seasons) that are worth watching all at once:
The office streaming
The Office is a British sitcom that was first broadcast on the BBC in 2001. It is set in the fictional Wernham Hogg paper company in Leeds, West Yorkshire and stars Ricky Gervais as manager David Brent. The show also stars Mackenzie Crook, Martin Freeman, Lucy Davis and Joanna Page among others.
The Office has been praised for its realism by critics; although some characters are caricatures of real people they are still believable because they are not so far removed from most people’s lives (like many other shows).
The IT crowd
The IT Crowd is a British sitcom created by Graham Linehan and Richard Boden. The series revolves around three members of the fictional Reynholm Industries’ IT department: Jen Barber (Katherine Parkinson), Roy Trenimon (Chris O’Dowd) and Maurice Moss (Richard Ayoade). The show has been nominated for several awards including four BAFTA Awards, two British Comedy Awards, one National Television Award and one Royal Television Society Award.
The show has also been compared to The Office because it follows the lives of office workers in an organization who are not aware that their boss is insane.
The Diplomat (II)
The Diplomatic is a British comedy series set at the United Nations headquarters in New York City. The Diplomatic was created by Andy Curtis, who also wrote many episodes of Are You Being Served? The series aired on BBC Two from 1994 to 2001 with 52 episodes over 6 seasons.
The show follows the adventures of British diplomats at work and play, as well as their personal lives. In addition to being funny and engaging, it also serves as an insightful look into international politics during this period (as well as some commentary about Brexit).

Archer is an animated television series that airs on FX. It was created by Adam Reed, who also acts as executive producer, and H. Jon Benjamin, who voices the main character Sterling Archer. The show revolves around the titular character, who works for a private spy agency run by his mother; he is also a playboy with a hedonistic lifestyle.
The first season premiered in 2009 and has since garnered much critical acclaim as well as a cult following among viewers worldwide; it has won seven Primetime Emmy Awards out of twenty nominations as well as two Critics’ Choice Television Awards out of nine nominations so far.[1] With over 1 billion views worldwide on digital platforms such as YouTube,[2] Netflix[3] and Amazon Prime Video,[4] “Archer” remains one of today’s most popular web series worldwide!
Shay men in black
Shay Men in Black is a British comedy series that was created by Carol Pope and Jonathan Green. The series was first broadcast on Channel 4 in 1991, followed by a one-off special in 1995.
In this web series, the Shay Men are two hapless detectives who are sent to investigate strange goings-on at an old folks’ home where people keep disappearing. They soon discover that there’s more than meets the eye when they meet their boss Mr. Duncan (played by Brian Murphy), who looks like an ordinary man but has mysterious superpowers. The show also stars Tim Vine as Inspector Hector “Hocks”.

Goodness Gracious Me! is a British sitcom that was first broadcast on radio 4 in 1988, it then moved to television where it ran for three series between 1999 and 2001. It’s written by and stars Indian born British comedian performer Sandi Toksvig who plays several roles including herself as the main protagonist of the series.
The show is set in a fictional restaurant called The Good Ship Lollipop which features an all-Asian staff led by manager Mr. Chaudhary (played by Rohit Gupta) who also acts as narrator throughout each episode.
How I met your mother
How I Met Your Mother is an American sitcom that premiered on CBS on September 19, 2005. It follows the main character Ted Mosby (portrayed by Josh Radnor) as he tells his children about how he met their mother through flashbacks. The show ran for nine seasons, with its final episode airing March 31st 2014
Doctor who
Doctor Who is a British science fiction television programmed produced by the BBC. It first broadcast on 23 November 1963, and has since been airing for 55 years. The show’s popularity has led to numerous spin-offs, including books, comics and audio dramas. The programmed features an alien time traveler known as “The Doctor” who travels through time and space in his TARDIS (Time And Relative Dimension In Space), which looks like an old police box on the outside but contains far more than just a telephone on the inside!
The ninth series was broadcast between September 2015 and July 2016 while its tenth series will begin airing in October 2018!
